The Congress of Vienna was an international, diplomatic congress held by the victorious powers to restore the territorial order in Europe devastated by the Napoleonic wars and balance the powers of Europe to coexist peacefully.

After the fall of Napoleon Bonaparte, the need arose to bring a new, stable order to Europe. A diplomatic congress had to be held. With the participation of the victorious powers of Europe mainly as: Britain, Austria, Prussia and Russia that congress would regenerate the conservative order of Europe.

This congress was of vital importance for the restoration of the upset order and the establishment of peace in Europe. The main goals of the congress were the redefinition of the borders of Europe and at the same time defusing potential new conflicts between the powers and resolving existing ones by diplomatic means. The congress aimed to address these problems through diplomacy and appeasement for all sides in order to ensure peace and restore the stable order in Europe.
